The RollIng Stones - Blue & Lonesome 2 LP

Blue & Lonesome is the twenty-third British studio album by legendary rock band The Rolling Stones, released in 2016. Their first studio album in over a decade, it sees Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood return to the blues music that inspired the band's earliest recordings.

Recorded in just three days at British Grove Studios in London, the album features 12 interpretations of classic blues songs originally performed by artists including Little Walter, Howlin' Wolf, Jimmy Reed and Willie Dixon. Standout tracks include Just Your Fool, Hate To See You Go, Ride 'Em On Down, Little Rain and Commit A Crime.

Driven by Jagger's gritty harmonica and vocals, Richards and Wood's expressive guitar work, and the band's unmistakable rhythm section, Blue & Lonesome captures the raw energy and authenticity of traditional Chicago blues. Eric Clapton also makes guest appearances on guitar on two tracks, adding to the album's blues credentials.

Winning the Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues Album, Blue & Lonesome received widespread acclaim for its direct, stripped-back sound and return to the band's musical roots.
