Taste’s On The Boards is the second and final studio album from the legendary Irish blues-rock trio led by Rory Gallagher. The album captures Gallagher alongside bassist Richard McCracken and drummer John Wilson, combining powerful blues rock with jazz, folk and psychedelic influences.

Produced by Tony Colton, On The Boards demonstrates the band's increasingly adventurous approach. Gallagher handles guitar, vocals and harmonica while also playing alto saxophone, particularly effective on the jazz-influenced title track and It's Happened Before, It'll Happen Again.

Highlights include the driving opener What's Going On, blues-heavy Railway And Gun, the atmospheric On The Boards, slide-guitar workout Eat My Words and closing track I'll Remember. The quieter If The Day Was Any Longer and See Here reveal another side of Gallagher's songwriting.
