Howlin’ Wolf - Moanin’ in the Moonlight LP

In 2025, Chess Records celebrates its 75th anniversary with a new series of audiophile reissues.

Originally released in 1959, this landmark album gathers some of Wolf’s earliest and most powerful recordings, including “Smokestack Lightning,” “How Many More Years,” and “Evil.”

The 75th Anniversary Series will present monthly releases highlighting the legendary Chess catalogue, bringing timeless blues, R&B and early rock back to life for new generations.
