International Velvet is the second studio album from Welsh alternative rock band Catatonia, originally released in 1998. The album established the band as one of the most distinctive and successful British alternative acts of the late 1990s.

Fronted by Cerys Matthews, Catatonia combine alternative rock, indie pop and melodic guitar music with witty, often poetic songwriting. The album balances catchy hooks and energetic arrangements with more reflective and atmospheric moments, creating a sound that remains instantly recognisable.
