Experience Squeeze’s Trixies LP – A Lost 1970s Concept Album Reimagined

Trixies is the brand new studio album by Squeeze, a concept album that could have been their very first record. Written by Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook when they were just 19 and 16, it is born of imagination and nostalgia.

 

Inspired by a fictional members’ club imagined in the early 1970s and projected into the “future” of the 1980s, the album channels a world reminiscent of a 1920s–30s speakeasy — glamorous, smoky, and populated with colorful characters. The songs feature playful narratives, theatrical storytelling, and the signature wit and timeless songwriting of Difford and Tilbrook.
