JoBoxers - Essential Boxerbeat (COOKCD811) CD
JoBoxers filled a niche of their own as they emerged into the scene in 1983 with their debut single ‘Boxerbeat’ charting at #3 and debut album landing a top 20. Before American vocalist Dig Wayne joined, British musicians Chris Bostock, Sean McLusky, Rob Marche and Dave Collard had been performing together in the Jazz-influenced Subway Sect. The coalition created the perfect blend of Punk, Jazz, Northern Soul, Rockabilly and Pop that made JoBoxers one of the most exciting bands around at the time. After a short 3 years together, JoBoxers are back to reignite Britain with their first live shows in 35 years in November. Essential Boxerbeat is the original massive selling 1996 compilation updated by the band with the single version of the anthem `Just Got Lucky’ and the studio rather than live version of `Jealous Love’.
