Set in Oxford in 1965, this series centres around the early career of Endeavour Morse, a classical music loving young constable. To celebrate the broadcast of Endeavour, Sony Classical has released a CD of Classical and Opera favourites taken directly from the soundtrack including the well known Morse theme tune by Barrington Pheloung. With pieces by Puccini, Verdi, Rachmaninov and Mozart among other greats, Endeavour is the perfect soundtrack for classical lovers, and features performances from world class artists including Placido Domingo, Leontyne Price, Leonard Bernstein and the London Symphony Orchestra.
