Her follow-up’s were solo efforts including “One day I’ll Fly Away” and a year later “You Might Need Somebody”. The in Macon, Georgia born singer Randy Crawford released her ninth solo album ‘Rich and Poor’ through Warner Bros. in 1989 and is a nice mix of jazz, funk, blues & contemporary R&B. The album contains a superb version of Bob Dylan’s “Knocking On Heaven’s Door” with guest appearances from David Sanborn on alto saxophone and on the guitar Eric Clapton.
